Apply the Wallpaper

I added peel-and-stick wallpaper to the inside panels of the crate for a decorative touch. I began at one side and moved across the back and side, aligning the edges and cutting the roll to fit.

Make sure to clean the panels thoroughly; while peel-and-stick wallpaper is quite forgiving, it won’t adhere properly to surfaces covered in sawdust—I found that out the hard way. To secure the top, I used figure-eight desktop fasteners. I mortised holes in the tops of the walls for each fastener, then positioned the top and secured it with screws.
