How to Build a Dog Crate
Step 11
Position the Fixed Stile and Pipes
I inserted the 3/4-inch copper pipes into the fixed center stile and placed 1/2-inch pipes into the opposite side of the stile. I aligned the stile with the front panel and inserted the pipes into the corresponding holes in the corner stile. After ensuring everything was square to the frame, I glued and nailed the fixed center stile in place.
Note: Since my work surface is level, I only needed a level to ensure the stile was plumb for a square assembly. Alternatively, you can use a framing square or check that the distances from the corner stile are equal from top to bottom.
