People now just blow these out, but back then, there was a specific tool for the job. What’s it called?

   Correct    Incorrect   Candle snuffers were bell-shaped ends on a metal pole that would be placed over a candle's flame. It would, like the name suggests, snuff out the flame. Nowadays, some people do have these, but they are more of a novelty item than a necessity.
